Local Missions

Through the work of our local Nazarene Missions International (NMI), Dothan First Church of the Nazarene leads and participates in many service projects in our community throughout the year.

  • Aunt Katie’s Community Garden – Our youth often travel to this garden in downtown Dothan to help with various projects, most recently by running a VBS program in the garden for the neighborhood children. The community garden provides food for the hungry and nutrition education for the surrounding neighborhood.
  • The Harbor Church – We partner with this downtown church to assist with their ministries to the needy and homeless. This is usually in the form of providing meals before one of their services.
  • Construction Projects – Led through our local compassionate and disaster relief ministries, our church will occasionally do light construction to assist with handicapped or needy individuals. Past projects have included a wheelchair ramp, yard work, roof work, parsonage work for other churches, etc.

If you would like to donate to Dothan First Church of the Nazarene to cover the cost of local compassionate ministries, you may give through the PayPal donate button below and your gift will be received with the designation “Local Compassionate Ministries.”
